For Mother's day and Father's day Than and Erica gave us country mega tickets to three concerts and the first was this cute guy. I have always said that if I could go to one concert, it would be his and I got my wish. The last real concert that I went to was Elton John...it was that long ago....so this was a real treat. We didn't know what to expect with grass seats since we had never been there but Than got the hook-up for us because he was willing to run when the gates opened. We got the first grass seats, so basically, nobody was directly in front of us and we could have sat down for the entire concert if we had wanted to....but we didn't sit because pretty much everyone stands and sings and dances. It was so much fun and I didn't even mind standing. The weather was perfect with a slight, cool breeze and we just had a wonderful evening. This was as good as my camera could get but it was better than my eyes could get. He was pretty small from our grass seats, but still so enjoyable. He is just cute and what a smile.

I usually don't post pictures of myself because I don't usually take them of myself and I am not good to look at but Erica took this of the two of us and I guess occasionally it is good to document that you were actually at an event.

I am so thankful that they not only got us tickets, but they got them for themselves and will be able to attend the concerts with us. Than and Erica are great company and always fun to be with. There is Than sporting his western shirt. Everyone was dressed country....the men in snap shirts and boots and hats and the women in booty shorts and hats. I am contemplating getting me some Daisy Duke shorts for the next concert but then I remember that line from the comedian on the cruise..."Just because they make it in your size, doesn't mean you should wear it." I will probably hear from Kyle and Benji on the thought of me wearing booty shorts because they love to make fun of me.

Another fun thing was that the Avilas bought tickets too and we all got to sit together. We were right by the sidewalk and it was crowded and the girls loved to dance on that sidewalk. Chris was sitting on the edge of the sidewalk and there were several times when we thought that one of those girls was going to end up right in his lap, especially as the night wore on and the drinking wore on. Plus, because he was sitting, their butts in those short tight booty shorts were pretty much eye level with him. But he was a good sport and just laughed even when he was re-baptized a few times...in the Catholic way....with beer.

Another fun person to hang out with...Dee. She loved to rock out to the music and knew most of the words and I thought she was going to tackle a few of those booty-shorted girls who were a little too close to her husband!!!

The concert started with a brother and sister band (I can't remember their name however) and then this guy, Luke Bryan, came on and he was really good too. Although Walt is not much of a country kind of guy, he really enjoyed the evening. He liked Luke Bryan and really liked Tim McGraw. We even listened to his cd on the way to Medford the next day. He did have a girl fall into his arms who was crying because she couldn't find her friends and she was upset about it. The place was packed and she had gotten separated from them. Oh, and did I mention, she was drunk off her butt. Than went to the bathroom and he said there were several girls in there because the girl's line was too long and he actually got flashed by one of them. So in spite of some of the glitches for this innocent Mormon group....or maybe because of all of them....a good time was had by all and we are looking forward to the next one in August. Thanks Than and Erica.
